About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated

Associate Professor & HOD in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning

with a strong academic background, hands-on expertise in AI technologies, curriculum development experience, and demonstrated contributions to research and student engagement.
The ideal candidate will design and deliver advanced AI/ML courses, mentor students, lead academic projects, and support institutional academic excellence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver classroom teaching for courses in: Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning Deep Learning Data Science Reinforcement Learning Natural Language Processing Design, review, and update curriculum modules in AI, ML & DS. Guide students in academic projects, hackathons, internships, and research activities. Lead hands-on workshops, FDPs, STTPs, technical seminars, and peer learning sessions. Evaluate assignments, examinations, and student performance as per academic standards. Participate in departmental activities such as: BOS (Board of Studies) NIRF ARIIA Accreditation processes Collaborate with industries for PoCs, research collaborations, and project development. Support student clubs like AI Clubs, GDSC, and innovation labs. Publish research work and contribute to academic proposals, grants, and scholarly activities.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong expertise in AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and NLP. Good knowledge of Python-based AI tools and frameworks (TensorFlow, etc.). Experience mentoring hackathons, innovation contests, and student research. Ability to design innovative AI/ML curriculum aligned with industry standards. Excellent communication and academic advising skills. Experience in project-based learning and outcome-driven pedagogy. Ability to handle academic coordination and administrative responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. (Pursuing or Near Completion) in CSE / AI / ML. Certifications in AI/ML from NPTEL, Coursera, IBM, NVIDIA, DeepLearning.AI. Experience working on healthcare AI, computational oncology, and applied AI. Recognitions in national-level hackathons or research competitions. Experience as a resource person for workshops and FDPs.

Pay: ?206,530.70 - ?1,395,549.21 per year

Dehradun, Uttarakhand: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
