Position Overview

The Associate Professor in CSE (AIML) will lead academic excellence in advanced areas of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The role includes teaching, research, mentoring, departmental leadership, and supporting accreditation and quality processes. The ideal candidate must have deep technical knowledge in AI/ML domains and a strong research background.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic Delivery

Teach UG/PG courses in AI, ML, Deep Learning, Data Science, and related CSE subjects. Prepare structured lesson plans, innovative teaching methodologies, and evaluation components. Guide students in internships, real-time AI/ML projects, capstone work, and research-based learning.

Research & Scholarly Contributions

Conduct advanced research in AI/ML, Data Science, NLP, Computer Vision, Robotics, or related specializations. Publish quality research in SCI/SCOPUS journals and reputed conferences. Guide UG/PG dissertations and mentor research scholars. Work towards patents, funded research projects, and creation of AI/ML research labs.

Departmental Leadership

Mentor Assistant Professors and support faculty development in AI/ML subjects. Contribute to curriculum design for AIML programs and courses. Play a significant role in NBA/NAAC accreditation documentation and audits. Organize seminars, hackathons, workshops, and FDPs in AI/ML and emerging technologies.

Industry Collaboration & Innovation

Build collaborations with AI/ML-focused industries, research labs, and technology organizations. Promote industry certifications (TensorFlow, AWS ML, Azure AI, etc.) and skill-development programs. Support startup/innovation ecosystem, incubation activities, and student technical clubs.

Institutional Contributions

Participate in academic committees, governance bodies, and quality assurance initiatives. Support institutional development with discipline, ethics, and leadership. Engage with alumni, external stakeholders, and academic networks.

Required Qualifications (As per AICTE / VTU Norms)

B.E./B.Tech.

in CSE / IT / AIML with

First Class

.

M.E./M.Tech.

in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, CSE (with AI/ML specialization) with

First Class

.

Ph.D. (Mandatory)

in AI/ML/CSE or related specialization from a recognized technical university. Experience and academic contribution as required for

Associate Professor

by AICTE/VTU. Strong research profile with publications, patents, or funded projects.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Expertise in: Machine Learning Deep Learning NLP Computer Vision Reinforcement Learning Data Engineering Cloud-based AI (AWS/Azure/Google) Experience guiding research scholars or M.Tech students. Strong communication, analytical, mentoring, and leadership abilities. Candidates based in Ballari or willing to relocate are preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹90,000.00 - ₹140,000.00 per month
