Position Overview

The Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering will contribute to high-quality teaching, impactful research, departmental leadership, and academic development. The ideal candidate must possess strong subject expertise, research contributions, and the ability to guide both students and junior faculty.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic Delivery

Teach UG and PG courses in CSE with strong conceptual and practical delivery. Prepare detailed lesson plans, course materials, and conduct assessments transparently. Guide students in academic projects, internships, and technical research.

Research & Scholarly Work

Conduct independent and collaborative research in core and emerging CSE domains. Publish high-quality papers in SCOPUS/SCI journals and reputable conferences. Guide research scholars, M.Tech dissertations, and final-year B.E. projects. Work towards patents, funded projects, and research lab development.

Departmental Leadership

Mentor Assistant Professors in teaching, research, and academic tasks. Participate in curriculum design, academic planning, and outcome-based education (OBE). Take an active role in NBA/NAAC accreditation processes and documentation. Organize FDPs, technical events, seminars, and workshops.

Industry & Academic Collaboration

Build collaborations with IT industries, research institutes, and universities. Promote internships, real-time projects, and industry-certified training programs. Coordinate with alumni, stakeholders, and external academic bodies.

Institutional Contributions

Serve on academic committees, examination boards, and institutional councils. Support college development initiatives, quality assurance, and policy formulation. Maintain professionalism, discipline, and uphold institutional values.

Required Qualifications (As per AICTE / VTU Norms)

B.E./B.Tech.

and

M.E./M.Tech.

in Computer Science & Engineering with

First Class or Equivalent

.

Ph.D. in CSE (Mandatory)

from a recognized technical university. Required teaching & research experience as per

AICTE/VTU norms

for Associate Professor. Proven academic contributions with research publications, patents, or funded projects. Experience in OBE, accreditation procedures, and academic quality systems.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Expertise in advanced CSE areas: AI, ML, Data Science, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, IoT, etc. Experience guiding M.Tech or research students. Strong communication, mentoring, analytical and leadership skills. Candidates currently in Ballari or willing to relocate to Ballari preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
