Qualification

M.Sc Nursing (Community Health Nursing)

Must be registered with the

State Nursing Council / Indian Nursing Council (INC)

Ph.D in Nursing - Desirable*

Experience

Minimum 8 years of teaching and/or clinical experience

after M.Sc Nursing Experience in

Community Health / Public Health Nursing

is mandatory Experience as

Assistant Professor

preferred as per INC norms
Job ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic Responsibilities

Plan and deliver

theory and practical teaching

for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Nursing students Prepare

lesson plans, teaching materials, and field practice schedules

Guide students during

community field postings, family health studies, surveys, and camps

Conduct and evaluate

internal assessments, practical examinations, and viva voce

Mentor students and junior faculty members
Community & Field Practice Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate students in

urban and rural community health settings

Organize and participate in

health education programs, school health services, and national health programs

Ensure implementation of

preventive, promotive, and rehabilitative health services

Liaise with

PHCs, CHCs, NGOs, and health departments

Research & Scholarly Activities

Guide

UG/PG research projects and dissertations

Publish research articles in

peer-reviewed journals

Present papers at

conferences, seminars, and workshops

Promote evidence-based practice and community-oriented research
Administrative & Institutional Duties

Assist the Head of Department in

academic planning and departmental management

Participate in

curriculum development and syllabus revision

Maintain academic and field practice records as per

INC / University norms

Participate in

examinations, accreditation processes (INC, NAAC)

, and institutional committees Support community outreach and extension activities
Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of

Community Health / Public Health Nursing

Effective

teaching, leadership, and communication skills

Ability to plan and manage community-based programs Research aptitude and professional ethics Teamwork and mentoring abilities
