Position: Associate Product Manager - Cotton
About the Role :
We are looking for a hands-on and detailed-oriented Associate Product Manager (APM) to assist our Product Manager in building scalable solutions for our Regenerative Cotton projects. In this role, you will bridge the gap between digital tools and on-ground reality. You will work extensively with data, documentation, and field teams to ensure our product delivers real value to field teams.
Responsibilities
Product Documentation & Spec: Own the creation of detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), user stories, and process flowcharts. You will ensure that the engineering and design teams have clear, written instructions.
Data Analysis: Use SQL to query databases, analyze product usage trends, and generate insights to support the Product Manager in decision-making.
Rapid Prototyping: Utilize No-code tools (e.g., Airtable, N8N, Notion, Google Appsheet) and AI tools to build quick internal tools, mockups, or automate workflows before full-scale development.
Field Research (User Empathy): Travel to field locations (farms/ginning units) to observe operations, gather feedback from ground staff/farmers, and understand the practical challenges of regenerative cotton farming.
Support the PM: Assist the Product Manager in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of features.
Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, or a related Operations role.
Technical Literacy:
Proficiency in SQL is mandatory.
Hands-on experience with No-code/Low-code platforms (e.g., Glide, Bubble, Retool, or advanced Excel/Google Sheets).
Familiarity with AI productivity tools (e.g., using LLMs for drafting, data synthesis, or research).
Documentation Skills: Exceptional written communication skills. You must be able to translate complex operational needs into clear, structured technical documents.
Mobility: Willingness to travel to rural field sites (approx. 20% of the time) to interface with users.
Mindset: You are humble, curious, and comfortable working in unstructured environments (fields/warehouses) as well as corporate offices.
Bonus Points If You have:
Language: Fluency in Marathi is a strong plus (to communicate effectively with local farmers and field officers).
Prior exposure to Agriculture, Supply Chain, or Sustainability sectors.
Experience in a startup environment.
