: JOB PURPOSE (Summarize in one statement why the job exists and how it contributes to the overall objective of the company) To drive growth of Motor products through all channel, by educating and enabling internal Marketing teams as well as channel partners Act as mediator between multiple internal functions such as Sales team, underwriting, operations, claims, IT, Finance, Legal etc. for ensuring objectives for Motor products are met and to drive process improvements Scan and track competition and market intelligence with respect to Motor products ORGANISATIONAL CHART (First level reporting chart for the job) Comments: Numerical figure represents the total number of incumbents in the role PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (Accountabilities associated with the job) Product Planning Drive increase in the top line / sales target of the Motor LOB for the product Monitor performance of top performers and analyze their growth patterns Monitor product wise, subchannel wise. Performance, seek approaches to increase their participation and thereby increase contribution towards product sales. Interact with Subchannel heads, Zonal Heads, and Regional Managers to understand their challenges and gaps in the process to ensure improvements such as Product penetration, product awareness etc. e.g., Pay as you consume drive. Engage with relevant stakeholders such as Analytics, Actuarial for seeking analysis on the product performance and opportunities Ensure enablers to reach to channels in a smooth manner. Plan and ensure execution of training programs for the various channels team members to enhance product knowledge, e.g., pay as you consume product rollout. Analyze, recommend, and execute enablers to drive product sales, such as development of attractive campaigns in cooperation with subchannel heads & COE for channels to drive sales for the products (half yearly/ annual) e.g., additional payouts on profitable products to drive desirable business. To drive a green PnL, focus on preferred / non preferred geographies, Quality of business Analyze their business performance, alert them on the consistent losses, high frequency losses, etc. Propose actions for subchannels, IMDs to restrict loss making products and limit the loss generating business Determine ideas for bringing the loss ratios in control, coordinate with ILM team for potential frauds, underwriting team, etc. Undertake analysis to identify gaps, areas and improvement Conduct deep dive analysis of MIS/ Analytics for studying channel performance, product performance, geography performance, etc. and provide inputs on various aspects. Product performance Research and analyze internal and external performance of the various products in terms of market demand, competitors, customer segmentation etc. Identify opportunities for driving growth and make recommendations Align on business targets and key initiatives. Track top line and product mix on a regular basis, review against targets and analyze deviations Drive marketing teams and channel partners to drive sales accordingly. Scan and conduct research on market and competitors Interact with Marketing teams and channel partners for gathering additional market insights Analyze and identify opportunities to grow the business and achieve desired product mix Provide leads and work with Marketing teams and channel partners to implement plans. Work with Underwriting team to enable additional support for products and provide required support for specific line of business. Track and analyze targeted performance and profitability across products and geographies Identify and implement changes and corrections to the sales approach for achieving desired profitability. Education and awareness Drive digital adoption of the products Review and ensure all motor products are listed on the websites and related key information is available. Send regular communications to Marketing team and channel partners to create product awareness Conduct training sessions to drive understanding of various products. Channel enablement and process enhancement Regularly interact with Marketing teams and channel partners to understand system/ process issues in policy issuance, claims management etc. Identify opportunities for technical enablement and process improvements, and work with IT and Technical teams to drive the changes. Provide prompt support to address any enabler or support request from sub channel Heads. Conduct regular meetings and conference calls, record MOM and tracking of it with Sub channel, COE team, Channel SPOCs educate and engage the partners and explore the areas of support required by them from BAGIC. Identify opportunities to increase channel penetration and add new ideas, and work with marketing teams to implement MAJOR CHALLENGES (Challenges faced on an on-going basis in carrying out the job) There is significant competition in the market. Limited acceptability for the products among channels partners due to low awareness and confidence Significant interactions/ engagement with various teams and needs to be single handedly done.
