Description About this role Business Unit Overview: BlackRock’s MP3 team sits within the US Wealth Advisory business and is responsible for developing and executing sales strategy within the US Wealth segment at BlackRock. The MP3 team also includes the Portfolio Consulting and Practice Management businesses, which deliver consulting engagements, education, analytics, technology, and thought leadership which are focused on helping wealth firms and advisors build better portfolios for their end investors, scale their business models, and increase client acquisition. Job Purpose/Background: This role is a part of dynamic and rapidly evolving team responsible for three major functions – Analysis, Scale, and Reporting. Seeking an energetic professional to work with US-based Portfolio Consulting and partner teams, producing customized risk and other detailed reports for clients (US Financial Advisors). The analyst will also be responsible for building partnership with US counterparts – manufacture comprehensive reports consisting of detailed risk and performance analytics on the client’s portfolio. Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce highly specialized and customized portfolio risk reports like Model Scaling, ESG, etc with detailed risk and performance analysis for financial advisors’ portfolios.
  • Customization of BlackRock Model Portfolios based on guidelines agreed with the clients.
  • Understand and update Product Performance, Industry flow details and post necessary commentaries for asset classes like Equity, Fixed Income, Alternatives, etc.
  • Update data within risk reporting tools (example – Morningstar Direct, MPI, etc).
  • Ensure that all the requirements are completed on a timely basis with the highest level of accuracy.
  • Fulfill ad-hoc tasks related to portfolio, returns and market data reporting.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date process flow documents for all tasks related to assigned processes.
  • Support and complete various efficiency and capacity-building initiatives, including automation/ standardization efforts.
  • Evaluate systems, processes, and procedures for inefficiencies, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage workload to successfully meet set deadlines and assist other team members when required.
Qualifications:
  • Post Graduate - MBA (Finance) from reputed institute.
  • CFA / FRM certification will be an added advantage.
Skills:
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in investment management/asset management or financial industry.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, with familiarity across all asset classes and geographies
  • Knowledge of portfolio risk concepts like Standard Deviation, Sharpe ratio, Tracking Error, etc.
  • Knowledge of mutual fund, ETF business and portfolio construction.
  • Strong familiarity with ESG (Economic Social Governance), Carbon footprint and Sustainable investing.
  • Strong familiarity with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong familiarity with financial data platforms like MPI, Morningstar, etc a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of Tableau, SQL, VBA, MySQL, will be an added advantage.
  • Flexible and able to respond quickly to urgent requests
  • Excellent attitude, attention to detail, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Tech-savvy and eager to harness new techniques to improve reporting processes
  • Experience with sales CRM systems, risk reporting tools also desirable.
