Position: Associate Personal Tax

Qualifications:

- B.Com, M.Com, Inter CA, or CA- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent accounting skills, with expertise in bookkeeping and compliance processes in the US and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Prepare Canadian personal, corporate, and partnership tax returns (T1, T2, T5013, etc.).

2) Prepare US tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships (1040, 1120, 1065, etc.)

3) Perform accounting and bookkeeping tasks using Excel, Xero, and Quick Books. Intermediate Excel proficiency is required.

4) Conduct thorough research to resolve client tax and accounting inquiries.

5) Gather and analyse client information for accurate return preparation.

6) Maintain organized working papers and documentation for review.

7) Communicate with clients to gather information and clarify tax data.

8) Assist in planning for clients with dual residency, cross-border investments, and businesses operating in both Canada and the US.

9) Adapt to extended working hours during tax season (January to June).

10) Complete any other duties as assigned by the management.
