Date 04 October 2023 Company Name Air India Limited Position Title Senior Associate/Associate Manager - Strategic Initiatives / Strategic Procurement Grade / Designation As per policy Criticality of the role to the business High Objectives Plan and Execute initiatives on strategic procurement Major Deliverables This team (Strategic procurement and initiatives) manages procurement and strategic initiatives of more than $2bn for Air India Group which primarily involves procurement of jet fuel and taking various system improvement initiatives on fuel. The overall ambit of fuel related initiatives including its procurement includes: Executing tendering process, evaluation of bids, and subsequent negotiations Executing agreements with fuel suppliers on liasoning with legal, tax, ops and finance team at Air India. Gathering Market intelligence by engaging with entities like S&P Platts, Argus, IATA etc Collection and analysis of data on fuel (projections, consumption etc.) Engaging with internal stakeholders (ops, engineering, finance) to support various initiatives around fuel like efforts to minimize delays due to refueling, collection of fuel data for paying customs duty on remnant fuel in aircraft tanks.
