The Role Responsibilities

Job Role

Supply Chain Management (SCM) is responsible for the full lifecycle management of the commercial relationship with its external third-party vendors. To meet increasing business and efficiency demands, the SCM team is looking for a candidate with the ability create workspaces starting from Sourcing Request to Supplier

Performance management (SPM) within the SAP Ariba System (known internally in SCB as SCBuy).

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy as it relates to the base information required to raise workspaces relating to Sourcing Projects, Contracts workspace, initiative and SPM that will underpin the successful execution of sourcing and enable accurate reporting.

Strategy

All transactional work around S2P process to be in Concierge team.

  • Raises and sees though any opportunities for improvement identified during normal operations.
  • Takes part in forums to assist process improvement teams as applicable.
Business
  • Manage business stakeholders on their goods and service purchase.
  • Help in assessing the risk and relevant attributes for smooth purchase.
Processes
  • Creation, monitoring and administration of Sourcing Project meta data within the SCBuy Procurement system. Filing of related documents and quality assuring SCBuy Data Elements.
  • Create Sourcing Projects within SCBuy.
  • Triage Sourcing Projects to the allotted Category Manager.
  • Create Requests for Proposals (RFP) within SCBuy.
  • Request Supplier on-boarding into Ariba as required.
  • Contract workspace creation.
  • Continuously support simplification and improvement of processes and applicable controls to realise efficiency.

  • No Direct Reports.
  • Take ownership if self-development and learning.
Risk Management
  • Operate in compliance with mandated sourcing processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Supports the business functional vendor management teams in day 2 supplier matters.
Governance
  • Manage the relevant process under TPRM policies and standards.

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.   • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association.

  • Key stakeholder interactions are Category Managers and SCM Operations
  • SCM regional teams; Regional Heads, Regional Category Managers, In country sourcing managers
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Economics or Business Administration.
  • 8 - 10 years of working experience a corporate environment.
  • Experience of buying goods and services for Financial Services or technology sector is an advantage.
  • Relevant experience in stakeholder management (i.e. practices, leadership, effectiveness).
  • Working with an SAP ERP system is an advantage.
  • Good communication skill.
