About the Position
The
Associate Manager - Food and Agri Products Value Chain
will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing programs focused on strengthening agricultural and food-based livelihood initiatives. The role involves supporting farmer producer organizations (FPOs), agri-entrepreneurs, and self-help groups (SHGs) in enhancing productivity, improving product value, and establishing strong market linkages for agri and food products.
Responsibilities
Program Development & Management
Design and implement initiatives to strengthen food and agri product value chains at the grassroots level.
Identify and support agri-based enterprises, FPOs, and community collectives to enhance production, processing, and market readiness.
Facilitate business model development and scaling strategies for sustainable rural enterprises.
Market Linkages & Branding
Develop and execute strategies to connect agri-producers and food entrepreneurs with potential markets, retailers, and institutional buyers.
Support in product branding, quality standardization, and packaging improvement to meet market requirements.
Collaborate with internal marketing and e-commerce teams to promote agri-based products through physical and online channels.
Capacity Building & Training
Conduct capacity-building sessions for community members, producer groups, and livelihood partners.
Mentor local teams in areas like value addition, quality assurance, and sustainable agri-business practices.
Monitoring & Reporting
Track progress against program goals, conduct periodic assessments, and document impact stories.
Prepare regular reports, case studies, and knowledge resources highlighting outcomes and learnings.
Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise with government departments, corporates, NGOs, and development partners for project implementation and resource mobilization.
Build long-term partnerships to strengthen value chains and create inclusive livelihood opportunities.
Mandatory Qualification and Experience:
Master's degree in
Agriculture, Rural Management, Agribusiness, Development Studies
, or a related field.
3-6 years
of experience in agri-based livelihood projects, value chain development, or social enterprise management.
Experience working with
FPOs, SHGs, rural enterprises
, or
CSR-linked livelihood programs
.
Strong understanding of agriculture value chain, processing, packaging, and branding processes.
Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
Willingness to travel extensively to field locations.
Preferred Skills:
Business development and supply chain management in the agri/food sector.
Data-driven program management and impact reporting.
Training and facilitation experience.
Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and project management tools.
