The role incumbent will be responsible for providing legal support in relation to our Coperion operating company. Our Associate Legal Counsel work as part of Hillenbrand's Legal department carrying out a range of tasks to support in a wide range of legal matters with a focus on commercial contracts. This work will be carried out following established processes and using workflow and work allocation systems as required. Additionally, the role would have responsibility to provide day-to-day legal support to Coperion's legal entities/business in India in a range of legal matters. The individual is expected to perform in the capacity of individual contributor.
Associate Legal Counsel also contribute in global projects to the set-up, develop and continuous improvement of Hillenbrand's Global Center of Excellence by assisting with requirements gathering, process mapping, process evaluation and support documentation as required.
Work You'll Do:Reviewing and marking up agreements with a focus on commercial contracts and non-disclosure agreements;
Creating contract templates and standard terms & conditions;
Document collation, version control and document review;
Database entry/coding, database searching and database maintenance;
Proofreading of documents including contracts, agreements and transcripts;
Legal research (manual or electronic);
Creating and populating tables, schedules and agendas incl. supplier registration requests/questionnaires
Prepare legal reports and evaluations, e.g. for due diligence
Execute and support legal training.
Assist with process improvement initiatives incl. Process mapping, participate in workshops, conduct follow-ups, provide project support in cross functional projects
Support IT-Initiatives of the Hillenbrand Legal Department, e.g. Contract Lifecycle Management software, ,,AI-Teaching" and providing digital support to internal clients

The position will be a part of Hillenbrand's Legal Team consisting of Legal and Compliance professionals who are working for Hillenbrand Op Cos from different geographic locations.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Law with minimum 3 and maximum 6 years of experience in handling legal matters along with following skillset:Knowledge of commercial contract law
Effective communication, coordination and management skills
Excellent skills in Word, Powerpoint and SharePoint
Self-Initiator
Collaborative
Multi-tasking
