Job Role - Piping Material Engineer
Location - Delhi
Notice Period - 15 Days or Less.
Education - ITI/Diploma/B.E. in Engineering
Experience Range - 5 to 8 years
Function - Materials Engineer
Mode of Interview - Physical (Delhi Location) - Tool Test +Technical Interview
Work Experience -
Experience in EPC or Detail design engineering company in the engineering discipline for execution of projects in various sectors like Oil & Gas, Energy, Refining, Petrochemicals.
Tool proficiency -
SPRD (Spec entry and BOM Management), SAP (Material Management)
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Executes in compliance with Discipline Manual and Job Manual during project execution to ensure that all contractual requirements are implemented and fulfilled.

Ensures good quality of the deliverables for the design work.

Ensures completion of allocated tasks within allotted man-hours and schedule dates.

Contributes to on time quality review of Inter-discipline documents and vendor deliverables.

Contributes to implementation of safety relevant principles, standards, rules and procedure

Contributes to implementation of lessons learnt identified for the assigned projects.

Supports the technical procurement activities for various types of equipment.

Supports reviews and approval of Vendor documents applicable for the Discipline.

Attends inspections as per requirement at the request of the Inspection department.

Site assistance through replying to site queries.
HSE, QA/QC

Executes applicable scope of work in compliance with the requirements of the HSE Management System and IMS for the discipline/project.

Ensures that the documentation is prepared, checked and approved according to Project Quality Plan and ready to be released by the respective Lead Engineer.

Provides all necessary input to the lessons learnt process/capitalization and best engineering practice
PROJECT CONTROL / COORDINATION

Communicates to the Lead Engineer status and progress of project's schedule deliverables.

Communicates man-hour spent per engineering package.

Records and communicates all changes to original scope.

Contributes to Change Management.
DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE

Experience with various National and International codes and Standards (ASME, API, BS etc),CE marking, TRCU/Technical Passport requirements.

piping material summary list, piping class index, piping class sheets, piping component description, wall thickness calculation, branch calculation, welding data sheets, valve material specification, Piping special parts (PSV/TSV, Traps,Mixers, other Inline Special items) list & datasheet, painting & insulation,Jacketing, Steam Tracing specification, list / Equipment data sheet of process,piping & safety related special items, where required, Identification and marking of special parts in P&ID.

Assigning the Piping Classes in Fluid List

Check and Preparation of Welding Procedure Specification

Preparation / compilation of material Reports for Piping Bulks, Manual Valves, Pipe Supports, Painting & Insulation, Cold eye reviews of BOMs.

Preparation of technical procurement specification, material requisition, technical queries, technical evaluation, purchase requisition for piping bulks, manual valves and Inline special Items Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process.

Preparation of Inch Dia / Inch Meter report for piping Items as required.

Preparation of Bill of Material for Piping Components, Insulation, Painting, Heat Tracing (steam & heating oil tracing), Piping Support, Meter Linear Equivalent, Weight report.

Preparation of general spare part list including spare part list for Pre Commissioning / Commissioning, spare part list for Operation, spare part list for Capital spare parts.

Provide technical assistance to discipline assigned personnel as required. Ensure that all assigned work is carried out in compliance within the project schedule.Review and check work output of discipline assigned personnel as required.

Vendor Qualification Task for Piping Items.

Keep self up to date with recent technical developments in industry, Take the initiative to Introduce/Approve new materials for Optimum performance of plants ? Provide support for preparation of As Built Documents.

Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process.

Assist in training and mentoring of junior personnel as required.

Support for preparation of Authority permit documents like IBR etc.

Support for site queries.

Support for material substitution and Feedback on Deviations raised.

Vendor documents approval (Post and Pre PO Documentation)

Anticipation and Identification of risks and opportunities and recommend mitigations during execution

Effective Communication skills with proactive coordination with Client, Vendor and other Disciplines to manage workflow.

Ability to identify cost optimization opportunities during project execution.
