Role description

Mid-Level Technical Writer / SRE (Documentation & Runbooks)

Experience :

4-6 years of experience

Hiring Location: Trivandrum

:

4 to 6 years of experience in technical writing, SRE documentation, or DevOps operations support.

Must Have Skills:

Proven experience in

technical writing

focused on

operational procedures and runbooks

. Hands-on experience with

Confluence administration

and

knowledge base structuring

. Expertise in

runbook creation and maintenance

for production systems. Ability to document

incident response procedures

and operational workflows. Working knowledge of

AWS operations and services

. Proficiency in

diagram creation

(system architecture diagrams, troubleshooting flowcharts, etc.). Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with SREs, developers, and operations teams.

Good to Have Skills:

Experience with

monitoring tools

and

operational dashboards

(e.g., Grafana, CloudWatch). Familiarity with

schema validation

and

rule evaluation troubleshooting

. Basic scripting or automation understanding (Python, Bash, or similar). Exposure to

incident management platforms

(PagerDuty, Opsgenie, etc.). Knowledge of

DevOps workflows

and

CI/CD pipelines

.

Primary Responsibilities:

Design and maintain the

Confluence structure

for all runbooks and operational documentation. Create detailed

runbooks

for each of the 13 production solutions. Document

troubleshooting procedures

for frequently occurring operational issues. Develop comprehensive

incident response playbooks

and escalation workflows. Create and maintain

operational dashboards guides

for monitoring teams. Document

utility usage

for internal tools and utilities (developed by Position 3-4). Build and manage a

knowledge base

for

schema validation errors

and

rule evaluation troubleshooting

. Collaborate closely with SREs, developers, and support teams to ensure all procedures are accurate and up to date.
