Role Purpose



The post holder is responsible for assigning examiners based on test center needs and availability, ensuring adherence to PSN rules. They will also manage queries from examiners and test centers to support a smooth testing process. All Examiner Hub operations must meet high standards and comply with internal policies and external regulations.



Role Accountabilities



The role involves implementing standardized procedures to ensure efficient planning, scheduling, and logistical coordination that meet operational milestones. The post holder manages examiner and test center queries, maintains inboxes, and provides excellent customer service by resolving issues promptly and effectively. They build strong working relationships across teams, support external events, and ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements. The role includes regular reporting, data accuracy, and supporting informed decision-making through updated management information. Additionally, they contribute to effective resource and budget management, support examiner performance and training, and help coordinate tasks to meet marking deadlines while maintaining high service standards.



Role specific skills, knowledge and experience



The ideal candidate should have up to six months of experience in customer service or backend operations, with strong organizational skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines. They must be comfortable speaking on the phone, keeping clear records of communications, and willing to work in a 24/7 environment. Desirable qualities include experience working in dispersed teams and adaptability to change.

Language: Strong English proficiency is crucial for this role, requiring fluency in both written and spoken communication to effectively navigate British Council systems and international operations.


Education: A bachelor's degree in any discipline is required.


Locally recruited: Applications are welcomed from candidates currently in this location with a natural right to work. Relocation support is not provided.


Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders will need have, or be able to obtain, a valid special work permit issued from Government of India (GOI) to work in the British High Commission (BHC). BHC will not be able to sponsor work visas or obtain/ assist with the special work permit from GOI. Offers of employment made to OCI card holders will be conditional upon candidates obtaining a special work permit.

Work Schedule: This is a 24/7 on-site role with rotating shifts, including night shifts. The position offers two days off per week, which may not always fall on weekends. Flexibility and adaptability to a continuous shift-based environment are essential.
