To lead and execute sales development initiatives that drive revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and market expansion in the steel/stainless steel industry. This includes overseeing sales planning, business development, receivables, customer relationships, and competitive intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
Achieve Sales Targets
+ Generate and convert enquiries into confirmed orders.
+ Coordinate with logistics, plant, quality, and commercial teams for material allocation and dispatch.
+ Maintain accurate and updated CRM inputs (C4C system).
+ Grow volume from existing customers and onboard new customers.
+ Provide pre-order approvals and customer handholding.
Manage Receivables
+ Ensure timely collections as per payment terms and credit limits.
+ Follow up on payments, LCs, and debit/credit note processing.
+ Collect advances as required and manage ageing stock clearance.
Develop and Maintain Customer Relationships
+ Maintain healthy and strategic client relationships through regular visits and interactions.
+ Respond to customer complaints promptly and offer value-added solutions.
+ Work to increase customer share and MOU fulfillment rates.
Support Business Development Initiatives
+ Act as a brand ambassador in the region.
+ Support marketing and product teams in brand visibility and product launches.
+ Help identify new business opportunities and customer segments.
Market & Competitor Intelligence
+ Gather and share market trends, customer insights, and competitor pricing.
+ Build relationships with industry influencers and channel partners.
+ Provide feedback to leadership for strategic planning.
