The Associate Finance Controller & Treasury will play a key role in overseeing financial control, treasury management, compliance, and reporting for the company. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, working capital management, and financial planning specific to the logistics and freight forwarding industry. The ideal candidate will support strategic financial decisions, ensure robust controls, and manage liquidity to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Control & Reporting
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Supervise accounting operations including payables, receivables, reconciliations, and general ledger.
Review cost allocations, accruals, and provisions to ensure compliance with accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS).
Assist in finalization of accounts and coordination with statutory and internal auditors.
Support consolidation of group entities, if applicable
2. Treasury & Cash Flow Management
Oversee day-to-day cash management, fund transfers, and banking relationships.
Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts to ensure liquidity and working capital efficiency.
Manage short-term investments, intercompany funding, and interest optimization.
Negotiate and manage credit lines, BGs, LC facilities with banks and financial institutions.
Track and report FX exposures; support hedging or forex management where applicable.
3. Budgeting & Analysis
Support preparation and review of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
Monitor actuals vs budget with variance analysis and recommendations.
Provide insights on cost optimization and revenue improvement initiatives.
4. Compliance & Controls
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, TDS, Companies Act, FEMA, etc.
Strengthen internal financial controls and SOPs across finance processes.
Liaise with auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities as needed.
5. Business Partnering
Collaborate with operations, commercial, and management teams to provide financial insights for business decisions.
Support financial due diligence and investor reporting requirements.
Drive automation and digitization initiatives in finance and treasury operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance.
5-8 years of experience in finance and treasury, preferably in logistics, freight forwarding, or related industries.
Strong knowledge of Ind AS, taxation, banking, and treasury operations.
Experience in working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tally Prime, Zoho Books, NetSuite).
Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to handle high-growth startup environments.
