Job Profile


Job Summary: TERI invites applications from dynamic and research-oriented candidates for engagement as Associate Fellow (AF)/Fellow (F) in the Centre for Energy Assessment and Modelling, TERI. The role-s focus will be on macro-economic modelling including collection and analysis of large datasets related to India-s macro/socio-economic data/information.

Key Responsibilities:


Conducting independent research and supporting the research team Carrying out economic policy research using various methodologies and data sources Preparing research reports, papers, presentations, summaries, and policy notes Staying informed about economic developments and sectoral trends Organizing internal and external meetings, stakeholder dialogues, workshops, and other dissemination events Willing to travel domestically and internationally
Experience


3 - 5 Years


Qualification


Candidates need a Ph.D. in Economics from a reputed institute or university in India or abroad
- Experience (3-5 years) in applied econometrics- familiarity with economic databases and econometric software- and proficiency in Microsoft packages. Experience in applied macroeconomics is preferred


- Experience in trade with focus on trade diagnostics- trade policy- cooperation- trade facilitation- logistics- global value chains- and familiarity with economic databases and econometric software. Proficiency in Microsoft packages is needed

- Advanced soft skills to work cohesively within a team- lead a small project team of research associates- and multitask as needed


- Acumen to prepare clearly written academic and research publications- analytical reports- and other outreach products for research dissemination


Willingness to perform any other related assignments entrusted by the institution
- Strong communication skills- including speaking persuasively and presenting ideas clearly and concisely
