Job Profile
We are looking for a dynamic and strategically minded Associate Fellow - Maritime Strategy, Law, and Finance to support the institutional, legal, and financial dimensions of India-s green maritime transformation. This senior research and policy role requires deep understanding of climate finance, shipping law, circular economy, and maritime business models.
The candidate will contribute to flagship initiatives including the Sustainable Ship Recycling Roadmap 2047, Green Shipping Corridors, and the development of India-s Green Ship Recycling Certification and ISRIS system, helping position NCoEGPS as a globally relevant and self-sustaining Centre of Excellence.
The ideal candidate will have a background in maritime law, sustainability finance, or strategy, with a postgraduate degree such as an MBA (preferably with a specialization in logistics, maritime economics, or sustainability) and equivalent certification.

Qualification
Master-s degree in any of the following:
MBA (preferred specializations: Maritime Logistics- Sustainability- Climate Finance- Port Management)
Maritime Law / International Law with shipping or environmental focus
Environmental Economics / Policy
Marine Affairs- Maritime Studies- or Ocean Governance
Skills
Deep knowledge of:
IMO-s decarbonization- MARPOL compliance- and shipping finance mechanisms
Circular economy frameworks (particularly in ship recycling and port waste management)
Carbon pricing- emissions trading systems (ETS)- and MRV schemes
Port governance- concession models- and private-public financing structures
Strong ability to translate research into practical frameworks and business proposals
Excellent analytical- strategic writing- and stakeholder negotiation skills
Familiarity with national and international sustainability frameworks (e.g.- ISO 14001- ESG- TCFD- EU ETS)
Demonstrated experience in writing grant proposals and securing project funding
