CANDIDATE PROFILE

Overview

• Engineer Design should be detail oriented, possess good English language communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be self-motivated
• Must possess good interpersonal skills and work well in a team setting as well as independently as required.
• Must have knowledge of AutoCAD Plant and 3D Autodesk Inventor
• Emission Control Equipment Knowledge

Qualification:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s / Diploma in Mechanical engineering

Experience:
2-6 of experience in design of Dairy, Chemical, food, or beverage industries.

Required languages:
Full working proficiency in English

Software proficiency

• Autodesk Mechanical,
• Autodesk plant 3D
• Autodesk Inventor
• Autodesk Vault

Other Skills required

• Computer literacy with demonstrated experience in using the Internet, Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel), MS Project preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD viewers would be mandatory

Interpersonal skills:

• People management skills, to be able to instruct staff, deal with difficult staffing situations and maintain a productive, joyful but disciplined working environment (ability to explain and teach various skills to both skilled and unskilled workers).
• Strong organizational skills, people skills and attention to detail.
• Part of a team with a common design sense. Needs to be able to communicate openly their criteria and accept new designs and improvements analyzing advantages and disadvantages in an objective manner but also taking care of aesthetical aspects.
• Needs to be able to persuade the client (internal or external) for getting a GEA fingerprint in the design but respecting their preferences.
• Needs to be creative and innovative but taking care about learned lessons.
• Ability to communicate within the organization to all levels.

Communication requirements for the role:

• Internal stakeholders: GEA Site, Project, Quality and HSE Managers, Project Engineering, APCs, Regional Sales, Cross-Application, Supply chain and Logistics.

• External stakeholders: Customers Site, HSE and Quality managers, GEA sub suppliers.

• Type of communication: Face to Face, email and online meetings will be used to negotiate and harmonize internal/external stakeholders regarding successful project delivery.

Responsibilities / Tasks

The tasks and responsibilities for the role include:

• General

• Hands on Design experience of Food/ Beverages/ DAiry equipment like Tanks (Atmospheric /pressurized and jacketed), Shell and tube like condenser and callendria, ducting system is highly desirable.
• Hi-proficiency in AutoCAD mechanical.
• Ability to understand the Design analysis report Generated on Design software/ program and Design code.
• Work cooperatively with the team of engineers and technical staff in the Business Unit in the preparation of quotations and execution of projects as and when required.
• Create drawings from basic 2D/3D required to complete a project; drawing multiple views of the system, components/Equipment, and parts; depicting relationship of components and parts; identifying dimensions, angles, curvatures, tolerances, and materials.
• Participate in the review of plant, equipment and structures as required.
• Schedule and control own workflow to meet deadline commitments.
• Undertake control of design and drafting for small to medium sized projects as required.
• Preserve and improve design knowledge and experience.
• Check prints by utilizing GEA checking procedures.
• Work cooperatively with the Company administrative staff.
• Knowledge about Equipment, Ducting, Structure Etc.
• Knowledge about working with Autodesk Vault or Vault PRO, Inventor etc
• Develop the Drawings according to given sketches, P&ID\xe2\x80\x99s, layout, and specifications under the direction of engineering team.

Administration

• Maintain appropriate records by filing drawings, project notes and specifications using the local regions filing procedures.
• Keep up to date on all new products, product changes and general processing trends.
• Prepare weekly timesheets and project reports.
• Assist in other parts of the Company\'s business as required to ensure the overall effectiveness of the Company.

Travel Requirements:

• The Engineer will be based in Vadodara Office.
• Extensive travel will be required, involving extended periods on sites throughout Vadodara location. Initially, the Engineer will work within the Technical Design team to develop a knowledge and understanding of our internal administration systems and our approach to process engineering.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Qualification:

Degree/Diploma mechanical Engineer

Experience

2-6 years of work experience in the field of mechanical design Engineering.

Required languages

Full working proficiency in English

Software proficiency

• Autodesk Mechanical
• Autodesk Vault

Relevant work experience

• Hands on experience in design and detailing of Hygienic Equipment Design for Dairy/ Food/ Beverages, Ducting system/ Structural steel is highly desirable
• Mechanical Drawing of Equipment, Ducting, structure, P&ID, Layout, piping Etc.\xe2\x80\xa6
• Detail drawing and dimensioning according to all international and Indian standard.
• Experience in the field of Emission control industries would be highly desirable.

Other Skills required.
