To provide structured training and hands-on exposure in
materials planning, procurement coordination, inventory control, and ERP operations
related to
consumables, bought-out items, and spares
, supporting smooth operations and developing core supply chain competencies.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaterials Planning & Support
Assist in planning material requirements for consumables, bought-out items, and spares.
Support preparation and tracking of material requirement plans based on production, maintenance, and departmental inputs.
Monitor material availability and report shortages to seniors.
Procurement Coordination
Assist in preparation of purchase requisitions and purchase orders under supervision.
Coordinate with approved vendors for quotations, order confirmations, and delivery schedules.
Support follow-up for timely receipt of materials.
Inventory Management
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records in ERP.
Support stock verification, reconciliation, and reporting activities.
Ensure proper material identification, storage, and documentation practices.
ERP & Documentation
Perform basic ERP transactions related to PR, PO, GRN, and material issues.
Maintain purchase and inventory documentation as per company procedures.
Prepare basic MIS reports related to material consumption and stock status.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate with Stores, Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Finance teams.
Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and suppliers for routine matters.
Learning & Compliance
Learn and follow company policies, quality systems, and safety requirements.
Participate in training programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
Educational Qualification
BE / B.Tech - Mechanical Engineering
(Freshers)
Experience
Freshers
or candidates with internship/project exposure in
Materials / Supply Chain / Manufacturing
preferred.
Required Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills
Basic knowledge of
materials management and supply chain concepts

Understanding of
consumables, bought-out parts, and spares
.
Working knowledge of
ERP systems
(SAP / Oracle / equivalent) preferred.
Proficiency in
MS Office
, especially Excel.
