21065BR Requisition Number: 21065BR Description: Primary Purpose of Job: Stantec is looking for a Assoc. Civil Engineer that can be a part of our growing team in our Pune office. Contribute to the ongoing growth of Stantec ResourceNet Private India Ltd by providing technical expertise in specialist areas of civil engineering and design. To be involved in the implementation and delivery of leading-edge programmes and projects. Support project managers/team leader by providing technical expertise to ensure that project outcomes in terms of profit, schedule, technical and quality standards, meet both the client and Stantec expectations. Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist Team Lead to deliver infrastructure community development projects,
  • Perform technical tasks on projects under the supervision of the Team Lead or Project Engineer.
  • Prepare plans and design calculations for civil infrastructure improvements. Analysis and detailed design of different infrastructure components of projects including site civil works, lot developments, site grading, drainage and utilities.
  • Coordination and communication with other engineers/consultants, and/or other team members.
  • Assist with writing technical reports, preparing design calculations, and evaluating alternative solutions to meet the project needs.
  • Assist with processing preliminary plans and construction documents through various agencies to obtain approvals and construction permits.
  • Assist with the preparation of drainage reports, SWPPP documents, and erosion control plans.
  • Assist with the preparation of Engineers Opinion of Probable Cost.
  • Assist with the preparation of Technical Specifications and bidding docs.
  • Follow safe work practices and adhere to Company guidelines and policies while designing.
  • Maintain records of all design calculations
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Title: Associate Engineer - Civil (Community Development) Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering OR Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience for bachelor’s degree OR 3+ years of relevant experience for master’s degree in various civil infrastructure and/or land development projects and at least 2 years of experience working on and managing Civil Engineering design projects in UK or NA regions
  • Good hands-on experience in suing AutoCAD Civil 3D in site civil / land development / roadway design.
  • Knowledge hydraulic design software’s (specifically drainage design) is preferred
  • Experience using common data environment, such as ProjectWise, Navisworks, BIM 360 etc. for coordinated model and clash detection
  • Understanding of engineering knowledge in all relevant areas of land development, site civil works, water, wastewater, and drainage infrastructure components of the projects
  • Knowledge of civil engineering design guides / codes for UK and NA regions is preferred
  • Ability to understand project requirements. Ability to take directions from senior engineers and execute them efficiently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite
  • Effective communicator with excellent organization skills, & ability to work under tight schedules
  • Attention to detail, able to understand and adopt workflows
