Designation: Associate Engineer I - Flight Operations



:


The Associate Engineer I-Flight Operation role is to safely operate drones for drone solutions projects by executing approved mission plans, capturing high-quality aerial data and ensuring strict compliance with DGCA regulations, airspace requirements and organizational SOPs. The role involves conducting pre-flight and post-flight checks, maintaining flight logs, coordinating with the operations team during deployments and promptly reporting any technical or safety issues to ensure reliable, efficient and compliant drone operations.

Specific Responsibilities:

Operate quadcopter &VTOL drones for aerial surveys, inspections, and monitoring projects. Conduct pre-flight planning and on-site reconnaissance. Perform pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks to ensure safety and efficiency. Capture aerial datasets (RGB, Thermal, Multispectral, or EO-IR, as applicable). Ensure strict adherence to DGCA and company safety protocols. Support troubleshooting and basic maintenance of drones and ground equipment. Maintain accurate flight logs, daily mission reports, and operational records. Support mission planning with Project Leads. Assist in equipment inventory management and readiness checks. Assist in the development of operational SOPs and training materials when required. Travel to customer or project locations as per operational needs..

Desired Skills & Characteristics:

Quadcopter & VTOL flying skills Understanding of drone components and flight modes. Ability to perform basic troubleshooting under supervision. Documentation and reporting. Qualification:

Bachelor's in Aeronautical/ Mechanical/ Electronics/related Engineering Valid DGCA Pilot license

Relevant Experience:

0-2 years experience in flying multirotor and VTOL Experience in onsite drone data collection and data post processing. * Experience in flying in different terrains and operational conditions (rural, industrial, corridor, confined areas).
