About Vidhi

The Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy is an independent think tank doing legal research and assisting the government in making better laws. Vidhi is committed to producing legal research of the highest standard with the aim of informing public debate and contributing to improved governance. Vidhi works with Ministries of the Government of India and State Governments, as well as other public institutions, providing research and drafting support at various stages of law-making. Vidhi also conducts and freely disseminates independent research in areas of legal reform which it believes is critical to India's future. Role Overview

Vidhi is seeking an Associate - Development to join our team in New Delhi. The role will support Vidhi's fundraising function end-to-end, spanning fundraising operations, donor engagement, and communications. The Associate will work closely with the Development Team and the Impact Collective to strengthen Vidhi's resource mobilisation efforts and advance our mission.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Donor Relations

Research and identify prospective funders, map existing networks, and generate new leads. Support funder outreach and acquisition efforts. Help craft compelling fundraising narratives and design donor engagement strategies. Track philanthropic trends and funding priorities relevant to Vidhi's work. Support the development of grant proposals, donor reports, and presentations. Maintain donor databases and track reporting and compliance deliverables for funders.

Communications & Outreach

Assist in developing creative communication materials that amplify Vidhi's work, vision, and mission. Coordinate with programme and finance teams to collate information required for funding proposals and donor reporting. Contribute to quarterly and annual fundraising updates and internal reporting.

Eligibility Criteria

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and proactive professional with: A degree in Finance, Management, Communications, or Social Sciences (preferred). 1-2 years of experience in the non-profit sector, particularly in fundraising or communications. A demonstrated interest in law, policy, and advocacy. Strong proactive multi-tasker, with time management and organisational skills

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Suite. Basic understanding of non-profit finance, including balance sheets, budgets, and P&L statements. Experience with visual presentation tools like Canva or Prezi is a plus.

Soft Skills

: Excellent research, writing, and analytical abilities. Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks. Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills.

Location & Remuneration

This is a full-time position based out of Delhi. Remuneration will be competitive, in line with experience and existing structure at Vidhi.
