Responsible for performing engineering activities to support planning, designing, construction, maintenance, and alteration of buildings, highways, bridges, airports, dams, tunnels, water/sewage systems, power plants, and transportation system projects. Includes estimating and determining feasibility based on analysis of maps/aerial photographs, soil composition, terrain, hydrology, geology, and environmental impact studies.
Discipline concerning highways, streets, transportation systems, drainage and flood control structures, surface and subsurface hydrologies, sewers, tunnels, railroads, airports and airways, geotechnical analysis, waterfronts, water and wastewater systems, water power and supply apparatus, wells, pumps, bridges, dams, irrigation structures, water purification apparatus, incinerators or site fire protection systems, exclusive of significant structures. Research, design and construction of fixed works, other than significant structures.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to review the RFP, identity the employer requirement, develop a methodology for delivery, prepare an efforts estimate, develop staffing plan & work breakdown schedule, form the delivery team and kick off the project, provide high level design development/origination support to team and followed by verification of the design prior to delivery by meeting client expectation, quality within the budget and timelines.
Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team and provides strategic support to technical director on recruitment hires and team development.
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise. Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. Develops civils & technical specifications. Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings. Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Qualifications
Master of Engineering degree or Bachelor degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university. Washington Accord accredited preferred.
Registered Practicing Engineer - Victoria (RPEV), (RPEQ), or eligible for qualification or working towards.
15+Y experience in Water Infrastructure projects preferably UK Water Infrastructure.
UK & I region or ANZ region - Water Industry experience is most preferable
Candidates with strong Design-Build experience in water infrastructure Project including treatment works, pipeline, pupmping stations projects in both overseas/Indian experience having interest to pursue their career in Design Management can be considered.
Possess the leadership qualities & abilities to build & sustain a strong Engineering & CAD team.
familiar of water industry related software such as Water GEMS, SeweGEMs, Openroads, Microdrainage, Infoworks ICM etc and BIM/CAD software such as Civil 3D . REVIT, CAD , MicroStation etc
Possess the knowledge on cloud platforms such as Projectwise, BIM 360, ACC etc.
