We provide reporting solutions/requirements through finance, markets and operations reporting along with cyclical and critical controlling processes such as Forecasting, Financial Planning, Revenue Planning, Markets Leadership Planning and Cash Reporting to help you take better business decisions. With projects like Mercury, we also support business transformation, and we are continuing to expand our services to support all Regions with their reporting and analytics needs.

Seeking a highly experienced General Ledger Functional Expert, responsible for identifying efficiencies, ensuring proper governance and quality across the general ledger process. The successful candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and have a passion for accuracy, with a solid foundation in financial accounting and reporting. Candidate must have experience in working with across multiple geographies, cross service lines. The successful candidate should have excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills, and is expected to lead a team of specialists to achieve the company\'s financial objectives while ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness of general ledger processes. This role will be global role in nature and candidate is expected to be flexible with shift to support global clients.

  • Implement efficient and effective accounting processes, reporting procedures and internal controls, ensuring Compliance with accounting standards and support business needs.
  • Partner with the Global Process Owner for General Ledger to identify and Implement areas, for process improvement to increase productivity, drive down cost, process standardization and gain efficiencies across multiple member firms.
  • Participate in system development and implementation projects and ensure compliance with global accounting standards.
  • Act as the first point of escalation, helping to troubleshoot any issues during the close process or project implementations.
  • Support the business in end-to-end general ledger process, including, but not limited to month-end close, balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Have the knowledge to review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations prepared by other finance team members, identify any discrepancies, and investigate. Advise member firms of any irregularities identified.
  • Reviewing, improving and documenting general ledger processes, policies, and procedures, ensuring the SOP \'s are in compliance with local accounting policies and regulatory standards and global policies.
  • Evaluate control framework to assess the effectiveness of the existing internal controls in place for the general ledger function. Make recommendations on enhancements to the processes to improve controls.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any issues or discrepancies in the general ledger, recommend actions to prevent future issues.
  • Collect business requirements and apply financial concepts to translate them into solution design and proposes recommendations for changes and improvements to accounting policies/procedures
  • Implements new accounting policies and ensures those policies are communicated to team as well as the business
  • Guides and partners with cross-functional teams to develop and implement approved changes
  • Develop and provide end-user training on general ledger systems and processes to ensure knowledge is retained and captured within the process teams
  • Mentors, guides, and develops employees through orientation, training, establishment of goals, communication of policies and rules, and constructive discipline; Strengthens morale and motivation. Ensuring all duties are performed with the highest level of quality and accuracy.
  • Leads the works with internal and external audit as needed
  • Detailed technical knowledge of SAP R2R as this will be required to design the clearing rules and procedures to improve transaction matching
  • System Administration responsibilities for Software used to clear transactions, prepare and review Balance Sheet reconciliations. Including but not limited to:
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in the end-to-end application functionality.
  • Detailed knowledge of the relevant software modules to drive adoption across member firms
  • Mange the critical configuration settings; Create and manage the custom Variants etc., Coordinate with Service Provider for any configuration level requirements.
  • Maintain and implement monthly, quarterly, and annual System admin level checklist including managing Local Admins, User administrations, user assignments and reassignments.
  • Liaison with internal Business, IT and ERP teams for data validation and resolution of technical issues on interfaces / SSO / Information Security.
  • Monitoring and continuous reporting of reconciliations other metrics for operations control
  • Train users on deployed Software functionality and be the first point of contact for resolution of Level 1 & 2 queries.
  • Work with GPO for additional module implementations / solution optimization

To qualify for the role, you must have
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • MBA or CA. ACCA (or equivalent) desirable
  • Extensive SAP experience required, due to the technical nature of the role
  • Experience in working in a globally deployed accounting organization
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in finance processes and policies
  • Experience in managing a similar reporting and analysis function
  • Exposure to Power BI, SQL or any other visualization tools
  • A Team of people with commercial acumen, technical experience and enthusiasm to learn new things in this fast-moving environment
