Job Purpose

As an Engineering Lead, this role will be responsible for leading a team of developers and engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy automation solutions that meet the needs of our business and customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure that our automation platform is scalable, efficient, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Delivery of automation solutions: Lead the development and implementation of GSK automation platform, with a primary focus on RPA solutions. Ensure that the automation platform is scalable, efficient, and reliable, and meets the needs of our business and customers.

2. Team management: Manage a team of developers and engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring as needed.

3. Strategic implementation of automation platform: Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in automation, including RPA, and leverage them to improve our automation platform.

4. Technology leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team, to deliver and enhance the value of Azure and SaaS based automation platform and product solutions.

5. Quality, Risk & Compliance: Responsible for ensuring the automation platform supporting the business is compliant with internal security, risk management policies and practices, external regulatory and statutory requirements e.g., GxP, SARBOX and that business continuity plans are in place.

6. Stakeholder management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders, to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

7. Managing Strategic Suppliers and Partners: Working with the factory delivery team and across the GP&T organization to provide technical guidance and solving cross-functional issues (i.e., security, testing, data, application connectivity) for automation projects.

We are looking for a Professional and if you have these skills, we would like to speak to you.

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Science, Engineering & Computer Science
  • 16+ years of relevant technology experience with at least 5+ years of experience in managing delivery from RPA technical teams, support, and suppliers.
  • Expertise as an Automation Technology Product Owner in using automation and robotic automation tools, ideally Automation Anywhere or others such as Blue Prism, UI Path etc.
  • Experience of working with SAP and other ERP systems (i.e., Workday) in a multi- national organization.
  • Ability to quickly learn and drive new technology to deliver business value across GSK
