Job Summary:





The Core Finance professional will be responsible for overseeing end?to?end finance, accounting, statutory compliance, and internal controls for the Indian legal entity. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, adherence to Indian GAAP/Ind?AS, strong governance, and effective support to business leaders.



This role is a combination of Individual Contributor and also managing the team deliverables in equal proportions.


Major Responsibilities:




1. Financial Accounting & Reporting




Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities in accordance with

Indian GAAP / Ind?AS

and corporate accounting policies. Coordinate with internal and external auditors for statutory, tax, and internal audits.

2.

Statutory & Regulatory Compliance (India)





Manage compliances under:


+ Companies Act, 2013 + Income Tax Act
+ GST (Goods & Services Tax)
+ TDS / Withholding Tax regulations
+ MSME Compliance regarding payments and reporting (mid year and annual)
+ RBI / FEMA (for foreign-owned entities or cross?border transactions)
+ Oversee ROC filings, tax assessments, and liaising with consultants and authorities.

3.

Controllership & Governance




Maintain a robust internal control environment aligned with corporate governance requirements. Implement and monitor SOPs, approval workflows, financial controls, and risk?mitigation measures. Drive process improvements and automation initiatives in finance operations.

4.

Taxation




Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance, including GST returns, TDS, advance tax, and year-end filings. Work with tax advisors to manage transfer pricing, tax optimization strategies, and assessments. Ensure documentation is complete for tax audits and TP reporting.

5.

Treasury & Cash Management




Monitor cash flow, banking operations, fund movements, and treasury reporting. Optimize working capital--payables and vendor payments. Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.

6.

Cross-Functional Collaboration




Partner with Procurement, HR, Legal, Operations, and Global Finance teams. Ensure alignment with global policies, shared service centers, and corporate finance guidelines.

Required Qualifications:




Bachelor's degree in accounting / Technical Accountant. Experience in working with Indian corporates / global MNC's with India Operations preferred. Strong knowledge of Ind?AS, GST, Income Tax, TDS, and Companies Act. Strong excel skills to include lookups, pivot tables and advanced formulas Attention to detail with a focus on efficiency and accuracy Commitment to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers Self-motivated and organized - able to effectively manage competing priorities and still meet deadlines Effective communication skills (verbal and written) with individuals at all organizational levels Able to thrive in a changing and challenging environment Experience using accounting software; preferably NetSuite
