We are seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer based in India with at least 2 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong troubleshooting and coding skills using Generative AI (GenAI) tools, including Claude code, and reliably solves technical challenges with AI-assisted solutions. Hands-on experience in Python, Bash, and Go programming is essential for scripting, infrastructure management, and process automation. System-level experience administering and managing containerized microservices in Kubernetes (K8s) environments is required, with cloud platform experience considered a plus.
Flexibility and adaptability are highly valued in this role due to the fast pace of technological advancements and the continual emergence of new GenAI tools and approaches. The successful candidate is eager to learn, thrives when taking on new projects, and quickly acquires new technical skills in response to changing industry needs.
Essential Functions
Manage and optimize Kubernetes (K8s) environments using kind cluster, including system-level administration and deployment of containerized microservices.
Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
Develop and execute Chainsaw tests to ensure system reliability and robustness.
Implement deployment automation and configuration management using ArgoCD.
Set up and monitor logging and metrics using Prometheus, Splunk, and ClickHouse.
Maintain and query search and analytics stacks with Opensearch, Elasticsearch.
Resolve issues and accelerate workflows using GenAI coding--including Claude code--for troubleshooting and automating DevOps tasks.
Quickly adapt to new technologies, tools, and project requirements as the industry evolves.
Collaborate closely with US-based teams, working during India afternoon/US PST morning overlap.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 or more years of work experience.
• Required hands-on experience with Python, Bash, and Go for automation, scripting, and DevOps workflows.
• System-level experience administering, deploying, and monitoring containerized microservices in Kubernetes environments
• Demonstrated adaptability and willingness to learn new skills and technologies in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated experience in:

o Kubernetes (especially kind cluster)
o Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD
o Chainsaw test frameworks
o Monitoring with Prometheus
o Logging solutions: Splunk, ClickHouse
o Search and analytics using Opensearch/Elasticsearch

• Proven ability to find solutions using Generative AI, including troubleshooting and coding with Claude code.
• Hands-on experience with public cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• Familiarity with containerization and microservices architectures.
• Strong independent problem-solving skills and ability to work remotely with distributed teams.
• Excellent cross-time-zone communication skills.
• Prior examples of applying GenAI tools to accelerate DevOps workflows or troubleshoot technical problems.
