I. JOB DETAILS

Associate Consultant - Neurosurgery

II. JOB PURPOSE

• To ensure smooth services of the department of Neurosurgery in the hospital and take care of In patients/emergency under the guidance of Consultants.

III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities -
Responsibilities and Key Tasks
Patient/ Customer Care

• To Provide Quality clinical Care to surgical Patients
• To ensure timely attention and intervention for any query or requirement from the IP surgical patient.
• Job Knowledge
• To practice evidence based medicine awareness regarding surgical patient {Investigation - (profile/reports/plan)} {Treatment- (details/drug procurement)}{Drug Allergies/ patient history}
• Process Orientation/ Documentation
• To demonstrate pre, Intra and post operative care of all the cases done in the unit.
• To ensure Emergency Preparedness & Response Treatment/ Procedure/Investigations)
• To ensure that the surgical IP rounds are duly done and the patients are attended empathetically
• To ensure that ethical Medical practice is followed.
• To Compliance with patient protocols (OP-IP/OT/ Diagnostics/ ICU/ Triage)
• o 10. To Document patient File/ Prescriptions/requisitions (legible/ complete)
• o 11. To ensure timely Documentation at the time of Discharge
• o 12.To workup of all IP patients for surgery & ensure tie-up preparation consent.
• o 13.To have complete orientation of QMS and EMS system of Hospital.
• o 14.To have complete Awareness about Disaster Management Programme (DMP) of the hospital.
• o 15.To Comply with the service quality Process, environmental & occupational issues & policies of the respective area.
• o 16.To Comply with patient medical policy.

IV. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Measurable Deliverables

• Ensure 100% updation and maintenance of Medical Record Documents of Emergency / Ward/ MLC/ OP/ IP patients (Including consents and discharges)
• Clear communication with patients, consultants and hospital staff
• No major negative patient feedbackReporting the Occupational & Environmental Issues to HOD.

V. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications

• M.Ch. / DNB in Neurosurgery

Experience

• Preferably with 0-3 years in M.Ch

Technical Skills

• Computer literate
• Fluent with relevant equipment handling

Behavioural Skills

• Training capability of paramedical
• Emergency & poly / wave casualty management.

Language Skills

• English
• Hindi
