ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinical Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage patients with neurological disorders including stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, neuromuscular diseases, headache, dementia, and neuroinfections
  • Perform detailed neurological examinations and formulate treatment plans
  • Provide inpatient care, ward rounds, and emergency neurology consultations
  • Manage outpatient clinics independently or under supervision
  • Assist in neurological procedures such as lumbar puncture, nerve conduction studies, EMG, EEG, or botulinum toxin injections (as per training)
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including neurosurgery, radiology, rehabilitation, and ICU
Academic & Teaching
  • Participate in teaching and mentoring of residents, junior doctors, and medical students
  • Attend and contribute to clinical meetings, case discussions, CMEs, and journal clubs
  • Stay updated with current guidelines and advancements in neurology
Research & Quality
  • Participate in clinical research, audits, and publications (if applicable)
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
Administrative & Ethical Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and ethical standards
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and informed consent
  • Participate in on-call duties as per departmental schedule
