The opportunity
The Associate Consultant (Communications) will be an integral part of the Foundations team at Sattva, focussed on translating complex project subject matter into clear, engaging content for a variety of audiences including clients, communities, colleagues, and the media.
This role will involve working with Sattva’s internal leaders to identify, synthesise and share insights about our projects, our research, and our impact. They will also oversee our communications pipeline that includes supporting teams that seek to publish insights in the ecosystem or on Sattva-owned platforms. This will include managing and supporting the execution of virtual and in-person events and creating materials that can be shared with senior client leadership.
Finally, this role will be integral in refining our internal communications strategy to build internal knowledge and awareness of Sattva’s projects and impact. In addition, the following will be the key responsibilities:


  • Developing innovative and effective external communications activity including thought leadership, media relations, and events.

  • Executing and supporting narrative development and storytelling for project or sectoral insights to build Sattva-level points of view on key thematic areas.

  • Developing and producing creative dissemination campaigns on a wide range of research and project assets, working side-by-side with internal and external teams, including drafting internal communications materials as required.

  • Conducting research as required to arrive at the insights needed to create a communication strategy.

  • Engage with stakeholders proactively with effective communication and build on the engagement to build a long term sustainable relationship with the leadership and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Go beyond own deliverables to support others in the team including the marketing team or the larger organization where required

  • Work smoothly with peers and managers and is able to receive constructive feedback well.

  • Influence team leadership and resolve conflicts where required for self and team.

  • Deliver high quality deliverable consistently and work with internal and external teams to ensure timely and effective communication.

  • Support in documentation of learnings and potentially creation of reusable knowledge.

Who we are looking for

  • A minimum of 3+ years of work experience in communications, stakeholder management, event management, and/or report writing and editing along with a postgraduate degree

  • Strong problem solving skills, agility, and speed.

  • Ability to work in ambiguity and shape the role as their own

  • Ability to demonstrate end to end ownership, and work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment as part of a closely-knit team (showcasing patience, tenacity and grace under pressure)

  • Should have proven experience of working in complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, partners, clients and team members

  • Should have experience in PR, marketing or communications work

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail

  • Proficiency in concise communication, making presentations and writing content

  • Highly effective interpersonal skills
  • Prior experience in a client or customer facing role, will be an added advantage
