: Blood Bank Medical Officer
Reporting to : Dy/Medical Superintendent
Overall Objective: To ensure smooth working of the Blood Bank
Responsibilities and Key Tasks

• To effectively interface with patients, attendants and relatives.

• To supervise donor room activities including phlebotomy and all

• Testing procedures

• To coordinate with other blood banks

• To supervise component preparation and ensure smooth work flow

in blood bank.

• To follow all the guidelines of DCLA

• To ensure safe blood transfusion to the patients.

• To ensure proper inventory and quality of blood components, and

stock of

• all blood groups etc in cost effective manner.

• To be well groomed, punctual & adhere to company policies &

practices.

• To have complete orientation of QMS and EMS system of Hospital.

• To have complete Awareness about Disaster Management Programme (DMP) of the hospital.

• To Comply with the service quality Process, environmental & occupational issues & policies of the respective area

• To Comply with patient safety policy

• To ensure safe utilization of equipments and proper waste disposal system.

Education/Experience
MD (Transfusion Medicine)

• 5+ Year expereince

Physical requirement - As per the policy employee should clear the Pre Employee Check Up
