Role description

The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience managing

Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)

environments, including version control, image management, testing, and troubleshooting. This role is critical in maintaining and optimizing a large-scale Citrix environment that includes both

persistent and non-persistent

desktop configurations.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain

Citrix Virtual Desktops

supporting a large user base (2,000-3,000 desktops). Ensure high availability and optimal performance of the

Citrix VDI environment

with minimal downtime. Oversee

version control

, software updates, and patch management across Citrix systems. Manage and maintain

multiple desktop images

(approximately five), covering both persistent and non-persistent setups. Troubleshoot and resolve

Citrix-related incidents and service tickets

efficiently. Conduct

testing, validation, and rollout

of Citrix updates, upgrades, and security patches. Implement and manage

security updates

to maintain compliance and system integrity. Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to ensure consistent performance and reliability. (Good to Have) Exposure to

NetScaler, FAS, Azure, and Entra ID

environments.

Required Qualifications:

Proven hands-on experience with

Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)

administration. Strong knowledge of

persistent and non-persistent

Citrix desktop configurations. Proficiency in

version control, testing, and upgrade management

within Citrix environments. Experience in

Windows image management

, including creating, updating, and deploying desktop images. Solid understanding of

Citrix troubleshooting, performance tuning, and issue resolution

. Experience implementing

security updates and patch management

for Citrix systems. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
