Your key responsibilities
Technical Excellence

• Draft responses to government notices, appeals, and other regulatory correspondence under GST, Customs, and other indirect tax laws.
• Provide legal and compliance advisory on corporate, commercial, and labour law matters impacting indirect tax positions.
• Prepare legal opinions and memorandums on indirect tax issues across various industries.
• Assist in legal due diligence exercises, focusing on indirect tax exposures, compliance status, and risk identification.
• Conduct research and analysis on evolving tax laws, judicial precedents, and regulatory updates.
• Support in obtaining statutory approvals, registrations, and handling tax filings and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of client requirements.

Skills and attributes
To qualify for the role you must have
Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Law/ Commerce or semi- qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Company Secretary (CS) with relevant tax exposure.
• 2+ years of experience in indirect tax advisory, litigation support, or compliance .

Experience
Prior experience/insight into GST and Customs, as also the erstwhile Indirect taxation viz. Sales Tax/ Service Tax/Central Excise is desirable.
