Job Overview: Working knowledge of key aspects of accounts payable function (including indexing, invoice validation & processing, payments and account reconciliation). Based out of our FSS Center in Chennai, servicing one or more of our global locations, he/she will be responsible for performing assigned activities; ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures; and, promoting a positive team environment.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Hands on experience in processing PO and Non PO invoices
- Experience in handling invoice allocation to the team and monitor the progress
- Process all assigned invoices within the stipulated turn around time
- Good understanding about the VAT/GST concepts
- Should have experience in quality checking, support Audit requirements etc.
- Experience in reconciling the vendor statements
- Coordinating with internal external clients and internal stakeholders via email/calls to resolve the issues
- Explore for continuous process improvements and share best practices across team
- Should have handled/supported in AP special projects
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- B.Com / M.Com or equivalent accounting graduate with 8 \xe2\x80\x93 14 years of work experience in acccounts payable function
- Experience in working for a global organisation preferably with engineering companies in the oil & gas sector
- Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems required
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail with e xcellent verbal and written communication
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook etc.)
- Ability to work well as a team player
