Primary Responsibilities:

Leads, develops, and manages a group of around 7-10 Electrical Engineers & Mechanical Harness Routing Engineers / Hardware Designers at Lam India performing product development activities related to Cables, Harness and Interconnects for Global Products Engineering (GPE) team. Leads the team to deliver the cables designs, schematics and drawings related to new products development, NSRs (Non-Standard Requests). Leads the team of engineers to meet the key performance metrics (KPIs) and thrives to continuously improve the performance on KPIs. Drives the technical reviews with an accountability to deliver on time with first time right; ensures that the team delivers the best-in-class design support related to cables and interconnects working in collaboration with global GPE engineering team. Report during project, quality and PR reviews, coordinate design reviews etc; facilitating the learnings from problem reports Drives continuous improvements projects (CIPs) to make the process efficient and lean to enhance design speed, productivity, root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCCA), 8D and has a proven record of process improvements methods like PS&DM (Problem Solving & Decision Making), VSM (Value Stream Mapping), BPI (Business Process Improvement), etc. Own development plan, performance management & goal settings for diverse team members. Coaches and mentors, the team to improve technical capability, deploys the talent strategy for the team. Supports the activities to create, align and maintain GPE long term objectives in form of roadmap and vision. Collaborates with other LIGHT (Lam India Global Hardware Team) GPE managers to drive the initiatives and participates in the LIGHT level initiatives.

Mandatory Skills required to performing the job:

Strong technical acumen with cable design, harness creation, 3D routing, Components selection - connectors, ring lugs, cable shielding etc. Creating System Level Interconnection Diagrams, understanding of power panels/control panels wiring. Engineering Decision making on cable designs, system level interconnects for complex systems etc. Cable & Harness manufacturing practices and methods Experience in leading an indirect team or direct team and leading projects working with cross functional teams like Mechanical 3D Routing Knowledge and experience of PSDM, VSM, BPI, etc.

Experience in working with cable designs, harnesses, 3D routing on large industrial tools/capital equipment Experience with E3 Zuken would be a significant value add Ability to train and coach the engineering team on cable design practices, E3 Zuken best practices etc. Experience in situational leadership and motivating team to achieve team goals Past work experience in semi-conductor capital equipment industry
