We are looking for an Associate Sales Account Manager to maximize sales volumes and gross margin for all product lines (flavors, extracts, colors) within our Food Flavours & Colours Business in India. This is an office-based position in Mumbai, IN with regular prospecting and in-person customer visits required.

What is thrilling about this role?

  • Be responsible for developing and executing a territorial coverage plan for a portfolio of key customers . This entails: State clearly and specifically the mission of the company, forecasting annual sales for each product or product group, participate in the sales pipeline process, providing the management with written activity report indicating visits results and other territorial activities, and constantly seeking improved ways and methods to better serve our customers.
  • Acquire and maintain an in-depth knowledge of all accounts: The aim is to be the customer's most valuable resource. You will be working with top management of selective major customers as well as with primary technical contacts. Your role is to influence and establish business relationship with all recommenders and decision-makers both internally and externally. We count on you to minimize the effect of the competition on sales while enhancing sales for the company.

  • We offer you a comprehensive multi-week on-boarding training. This secures a solid foundation to understand the organization and its products, technologies, systems, supporting functions and culture, which enhances your ability to quickly become productive and integrated into the Sensient organization.
  • After that, you will focus on delivering new sales opportunities with existing accounts, as well as developing new customers for our Pharma Business within the assigned territory. To continuously help you to be successful in this position; we support you in working cross-functionally with our R&D, Commercial, Operational and Service teams.
What do you need to bring with you?
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Engineering or Business related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of account management experience in a B2B sales environment
  • Fluency in English
  • A self-starter and independent personality with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with low supervision.
  • Fast learner individual with a strong focus on delivering results
  • Good comunication skills - the ability to communicate internally is critical to your performance
  • Excellent customer service orientation to build successful, long-term client relationships
