Who we're looking for:





The Assistant Manager - VKYC will be responsible for end-to-end management of the Video KYC process across Loans and PPI. The role demands strong process oversight, agent performance management, and the ability to identify and address rejection trends. The individual will act as a bridge between operations, compliance, product, and technology teams to drive higher approval rates, reduce customer drop-offs, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:





1. Process & Performance Management

Monitor daily VKYC volumes, approvals, and rejection trends across business lines (Loans, PPI). Ensure SLA adherence for call acceptance, agent approvals, and customer turnaround times. Track abandonment and disconnection rates; implement recovery journeys (callbacks, re-attempts).


2. Quality & Compliance

Audit sample VKYC cases to ensure adherence to RBI guidelines and internal compliance standards. Partner with Compliance teams to resolve process deviations and regulatory risks. Manage rejection categorization (Internet issues, PAN quality, photo mismatch, others) to ensure accurate reporting.


3. People Management

Supervise and coach VKYC agents to improve handling of weak internet, user preparedness, and document guidance. Conduct refresher trainings using real case studies from rejection trends.


4. Customer Experience & Readiness

Design and implement pre-call communication (SMS/WhatsApp checklists, demo videos). Work with Product to integrate nudges and explainers in-app to improve user preparedness. Implement post-rejection feedback capture and analyze for insights.


5. Reporting & Insights

Publish weekly dashboards on approval rates, top rejection reasons, and trend shifts. Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership with data-backed action plans. Collaborate with Tech/Product on interventions (internet speed pre-check, PAN validation, system enhancements).


Key Skills & Competencies



Strong analytical ability with comfort in handling data dashboards & MIS. Understanding of VKYC regulatory framework (RBI guidelines, compliance checks). Excellent people management & vendor coordination skills. Problem-solving mindset with focus on reducing rejections and improving CX. Ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Tech, and Compliance. Strong communication skills (English + regional language exposure preferred).

What is needed for this role:





Any Graduate degree. 4-6 years of experience in Customer Operations / KYC / Financial Services, with at least 1-2 years in a team lead/assistant manager capacity. Exposure to digital onboarding, KYC operations, or regulated financial services processes is a plus.

Brownie Points for:



Experience mentoring juniors or managing agency/vendor partners. Exposure to credit or payment products and their risk/compliance nuances. Familiarity with predictive models (churn or upsell propensity) and large-scale marketing automation.
