Job Description

: Assistant Professor - Computer Science & Engineering (CSE)

The Assistant Professor in Computer Science & Engineering will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, conducting impactful research, mentoring students, and contributing to department and institutional development. The candidate is expected to stay updated with emerging technologies and actively participate in curriculum enhancement.

A. Key Responsibilities

Deliver undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in CSE. Prepare lesson plans, lab manuals, presentations, and teaching materials. Conduct practical sessions, evaluations, and continuous assessments. Guide student projects, internships, and technical activities. Use modern teaching tools, LMS platforms, and outcome-based education (OBE) methodologies.

B. Research & Publications

Conduct research in specialized areas of CSE such as AI, ML, Data Science, IoT, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Networks, etc. Publish papers in reputed conferences and journals (SCI/Scopus/UGC). Apply for funded research projects and collaborate with industry/government bodies. Supervise UG/PG research work.

C. Academic Administration

Participate in curriculum development and revision. Involve in departmental committees, accreditation processes, and academic audits. Assist in organizing seminars, workshops, hackathons, FDPs, and conferences. Maintain student records and contribute to documentation as required by accreditation bodies (NAAC/ABET/NBA).

D. Student Engagement & Support

Mentor and guide students for academic performance and career development. Support student clubs, innovation labs, and technical societies. Encourage participation in competitions, coding contests, and research forums.

3. Required Qualifications

Educational:

. Ph.D. in CSE (mandatory)

Experience:

Teaching/research/industry experience as per [AICTE/UGC/Institute] norms.

Technical Skills (any of the following):

Programming: C, C++, Java, Python, R Web & App Development Data Structures & Algorithms AI/ML/Deep Learning Cybersecurity, Networks Cloud Computing, DevOps Database Systems, Big Data IoT, Embedded Systems

Other Skills:

Strong communication and presentation abilities Commitment to teaching excellence Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and students

4. Preferred Attributes

Experience in funded projects, patents, or consultancy. Certifications in emerging technologies (AWS, Cisco, Google Cloud, etc.). Participation in professional bodies (IEEE, ACM). Ability to integrate industry practices into teaching.

As per institutional/AICTE/UGC norms. Additional incentives for research contributions and professional achievements.
