Job Description

An Assistant Works Manager (Commercial Vehicle) supports overall workshop operations, focusing on technical oversight, team leadership, customer satisfaction, and profitability by managing job cards, ensuring quality repairs (like heavy vehicles), handling manpower, managing inventory (parts), and driving service targets with strong technical/automobile knowledge (BE/Diploma preferred). Key duties include workshop administration, ensuring SOP adherence, quality control, people management (training, retention), and potentially vendor management for a smooth, profitable service center. Key Responsibilities:

Workshop Operations:

Open/close job cards, manage workflow, ensure smooth service/maintenance.

Technical & Quality:

Oversee quality repairs, ensure legal compliance, handle technical issues, manage parts inventory.

People Management:

Supervise technicians, manage manpower, handle training needs, conduct performance reviews, foster team motivation.

Customer Service:

Build customer relationships, resolve escalations, ensure high satisfaction.

Business/Profitability:

Analyze revenue, identify improvement areas, manage budgets, drive sales (parts/services).

Administration:

Maintain workshop standards, manage resources, ensure SOP compliance, report on metrics.
Key Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.

Experience:

Relevant experience in commercial/passenger vehicles, service centers, or automotive industry.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of commercial vehicles, repairs, and maintenance.

Soft Skills:

Leadership, people management, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, customer focus.
Common Duties in Specific Roles:.

OEM Dealerships (e.g., Volvo Eicher):

Key account management, parts sales, driving service targets (TAT, quality). Need Automobile Experience ( Handling TATA,ASHOK LEYLAND,BHARAT BENZ VEHICLES )
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹19,962.05 - ₹32,310.18 per month
