Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support to the retail banking division of the bank
- Review and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to retail banking operations
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to retail banking
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the bank's retail banking operations
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to identify and mitigate legal risks
- Represent the bank in legal proceedings related to retail banking operations
- Develop and maintain relationships with external legal counsel and regulatory authorities
- Train and educate employees on legal matters related to retail banking
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law from a reputable university
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a legal role, preferably in the banking or financial services industry
- Strong knowledge of retail banking laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools
