Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President, Azure Infrastructure & DevOps Architect
We are seeking a seasoned Azure Infrastructure & DevOps Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-native data platforms with a strong focus on Databricks. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of cloud architecture, automation, and data engineering enablement. You will play a pivotal role in shaping scalable, secure, and high-performance environments for advanced analytics and machine learning workloads.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and implement Azure-based infrastructure for enterprise-grade data platforms, with a focus on Databricks
Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for data engineering and analytics workflows using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools
Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform and ARM templates
Optimize cloud resource usage, performance, and cost across multiple environments
Collaborate with data engineers, ML engineers, and platform teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and custom dashboards
Azure DevOps Integration with Azure Data engineering resources like ADF, Databricks, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, MS Fabric
Deploying of Databricks using Databricks Asset bundles
Experience on YAML file deployment process
Multiple environment deployment using Azure DevOps with parameterized code deployment
User Stories and EPIC creation using Generative AI tools within Azure DevOps environment
Power Platform and Power BI solution deployment using Azure DevOps
Enforce security best practices, including RBAC, network isolation, and compliance policies
Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives involving legacy data systems
Stay current with emerging Azure services, DevOps trends, and Databricks capabilities
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
experience in cloud infrastructure and DevOps, with relevant years on Microsoft Azure
Proven experience architecting and deploying Databricks environments on Azure
Strong proficiency in Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates for IaC
Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
Deep understanding of Azure networking, security, and identity management (VNETs, NSGs, Private Endpoints, Managed Identities)
Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS)
Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert)
Experience with Data Lakehouse architectures, Delta Lake, and real-time data processing
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps culture
Exposure to data governance, MLOps, or data observability tools
