About Business line/Function :

Global Markets Operations team ensures that Security transactions (Bonds, Equities, Complex Securities, ETF, SLAB, Repo..) and positions registered in the books under CIB ITO\xe2\x80\x99s mandate, match the commitment actually taken with counterparties within a secure setup, in accordance with Group and Regulatory Policies and/or contractual agreements.

BNP Paribas as a prime broker provides a wide range of services to hedge funds including secured financing, securities settlement, custody, capital introduction, securities lending and custom information technology. Cash PB Wire payments team ensures that the cash payments for the clientele of Prime brokerage business are processed as per clients advice, in accordance with Group and Regulatory Policies and/or contractual agreements.

Position Purpose

Payments team cater to the cash processing requests & queries pertaining to Cash balances of our Prime Brokerage Clients.

The resource will need to work in partnership with our clients, Relationship Managers, Onshore, Offshore teams to ensure that all funds are processed in a timely manner. Also act as a point of contact for internal front/back-office enquiries.

Direct Responsibilities:

  • Management of all queues within the platform.
  • Responding to client queries, , Relationship Managers, Onshore, Offshore teams
  • Liaise with Relationship Managers and related stakeholders to escalate any payment, Client or booking issues.
  • Liaise with Associated teams, within the Service Control utility to help resolve cash related breaks.
  • Ability to apply problem solving and investigative techniques to booking / flow issues.
  • Help with project and CTB development where required
  • Build and maintain strong relationship with all areas
  • Knowledge of SWIFTS & processing payments would be preferable.
  • Should manage all queries related to static data
Contributing Responsibilities
  • Direct relationships with the front office / back office colleagues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the globe
  • Strong working and open relationship with local management
Technical & Behavioral Competencies:
  • At least 10+ years in an operational support position.
  • IB Operations experience preferred, essentially in Cash Payments functions
  • Competency with MS Suite, especially Excel, and the ability to learn multiple programs quickly
  • High level of knowledge & experience in processing Swifts
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Innovative - constantly identifying gaps in process and to seek improvements
  • Ethics and Control must have good work ethics and risk / control mind set.
  • Communications ability to communicate effectively within the team and Clients
  • Collaboration ability to work well with others especially in day to day resolution and escalation of issues
