Reporting to the Business Line Head (Systems), the HOD (S&T) will manage the P&L, drive project execution, and ensure alignment with SYSTRA India's broader strategic vision. The role places a strong emphasis on client relationship management, talent development, operational excellence, 3S implementation, quality management, risk mitigation, and collaboration across teams.Min. Educational Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors/Masters in Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience:
  • 20+ years in railway signalling & telecom, with 5+ years in leadership role.
  • Exposure to ETCS Level 2, CBTC & GoA (3/4) level.
Missions/Main Duties:
  • Provide strategic direction for the business line, ensuring alignment with the BL Head's vision and SYSTRA India's broader goals. Drive growth, market share, and operational performance across the business line, focusing on both short-term execution and long-term sustainability.
  • Manage the S&T department's P&L, including budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and ensuring profitability. Develop and execute cost management strategies while investing in high-return opportunities.
  • Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring each phase from prospect identification, bidding, resource allocation, execution, and delivery adheres to quality, safety, and budget standards. Lead efforts to integrate best practices and 3S principles to ensure operational excellence.
  • Cultivate and manage client relationships, ensuring the business line maintains strong partnerships with existing clients and expands its network to acquire new clients. Lead the proposal development process and oversee contract negotiations.
  • Oversee talent management, including recruitment, training, and retention strategies. Develop a high-performing team by ensuring that all employees within the business line are equipped with the skills and resources they need to succeed.
  • Cascade strategic decisions from the MD/ CEO / BL Head, ensuring that all employees within the business line are aligned with the company's goals and priorities.
  • Drive performance reviews, managing resources effectively and ensuring workload distribution aligns with business objectives. Identify and address any performance gaps to optimize productivity.
  • Proactively manage risks, ensuring that all project, contract, and operational risks are identified and mitigated in alignment with business objectives. Ensure timely project delivery, compliance with safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other Department Heads to optimize resource sharing, budgets, and best practices.
  • Ensure cross-departmental synergies to foster a cooperative and unified approach to achieving SYSTRA India's goals.
  • Ensure resource management, workload distribution, and performance reviews align with business objectives. Optimize tools and processes for efficiency and productivity.
  • Regularly interact with Project Managers/ Discipline Heads to manage prospects, workload, and project coordination
