Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President, Real Estate Administration, Lease Admin and Accounting
The incumbent will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations, reporting, and strategic management of the organization's real estate portfolio. This position requires deep understanding of real estate operations, a strong accounting background, and the ability to drive efficiency and compliance across all accounting functions related to property management, acquisitions, and leases. Ability to drive Transformation opportunities.
Responsibilities
Real Estate Management:

• Oversee accounting and financial management for the company's real estate assets, including commercial, residential, or mixed-use properties.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for all properties.
• Collaborate with the acquisitions and asset management teams to evaluate new property investments.
• Monitor lease agreements, rental income, and property-related expenses.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for real estate portfolios.
• Monitor and enforce SLA adherence, process KPIs, and quality standards.

Accounting & Finance:

• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards.
• Oversee lease accounting in line with applicable standards (e.g., ASC 842 / IFRS 16).
• Ensure accurate calculation of lease liabilities, right-of-use assets, and amortization schedules.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions related to real estate operations.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance profitability.
• Liaise with auditors and external consultants during audits and due diligence exercises.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and finance professionals.
• Act as primary point of contact for real estate, finance, legal, and external vendors.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including legal, operations, and finance to streamline processes.
• Provide strategic insights to senior leadership on real estate financial performance.
• Manage relationships with banks, investors, and other stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's in commerce (Honors), Economics, Administration

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Master's in business administration,
• Master's in accounting and economics
• relevant experience in real estate operations, lease administration, or accounting, with leadership role.
