Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President - Master Data Management.
In this role, Within the Master Data Management Service Organization the MDM Manager leads the MDM Team in delivering required domain Master Data for snacking, food and pet nutrition projects in the assigned region, with focus on quality and efficiency. The role will build on and extend the strengths of the MDM best practices already in place and look to drive further Right-First-Time accuracy of our data management.
Key objectives of the role are steering operational capacity within the team and implementing standardized processes and data management best practices across the region in collaboration with peers in the MDM organization. The role will deliver against agreed service levels and data quality metrics, drive process effectiveness and efficiency, standardization, and automation and thereby creating a competitive edge together with our business functions.
Responsibilities
Developing, leading and guiding the region MDM Team ensuring Right-First-Time Master Data quality.
Ensuring close cooperation with the Site Activity Expert Teams to deliver the required level of MD Creation for region and markets' projects on time.
Driving further harmonization between across segments in the Master data area and simplifying data operations as well as streamlining processes to bring organizational agility & speed.
Monitoring activities, managing capacities and setting priorities across markets to ensure required Service Level Agreements with the business functions.
Identifying improvement areas in terms of data quality and efficiency and address them through defined targets and KPIs. Further, providing all relevant KPI's to visualize MDM performance at Regional and Global level.
Challenging the status quo and identifying through internal and external collaboration and benchmarking continuous improvement initiatives in the Master Data area with the Data Steward team and other stakeholders.
Identifying opportunities for synergies and standard toolkit solutions where appropriate, leveraging new technologies and driving implementation and standardization of processes, workflow tools & systems in collaboration with the other MDM Managers to deploy master data solutions and high-level service to the segments & markets in an automated, error-free way along the E2E data value chain alongside with the client's overall strategy per category.
Creating an environment for personal learning & development, driving engagement and team performance, developing the talent pipeline (people leader).
Identifying key knowledge and data competence gaps within the MDM Team and supporting the process of closing these gaps (e-learnings, Supply Capability Trainings, cross site learning) with the aim of building an MDM competence center for region data and data-driven processes.
Representing the MDM Team in Regional and Global forums / projects.
Qualifications We Seek in You!
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
Broad Master Data (Product & customer domains) and S&OP+ understanding by proven experience.
Mandatory: Hands-on expertise in SAP MDG and DQ tools i.e. Collibra, Celonis etc.,
Has in-depth understanding of data models, SAP tables etc., to provide guidance to operations and business leads.
Relevant /hands on exp. As Data steward experience (~4-6 years) in DQ / DG position with proven achievement in functional, leading data management area and overall MDM advisory.
Experience in managing and directing remote teams, preferred around executing data operations, building effective teams and engaging associates by example.
Should have exp in managing consulting/practice teams in similar positions with proven achievement in functional and team management area.
Proven leadership and organizational skills with managing different competences as well as seniority in the team.
Experienced in implementing complex and efficient business processes and workflows, knowledgeable in applying Lean principles & tools.
Comfortable with remote working and remote management
Ability to operate in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
Very good knowledge of MS 365 tools.
Familiarity with cloud-based MDM solutions and integration with platforms like AWS, Azure, Salesforce, and Snowflake.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and security frameworks relevant to master data.
Understanding of Agile, DevOps, and SAFe practices for data and platform delivery.
