We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of
Assistant Vice President - Insurance Finance
In this role, you will:
Should be a subject matter expert / fair understanding of IFRS17 accounting and reporting
Should be having understanding of concepts of IFRS17 like product classification, disclosure requirements, Impairment on Investment of subsidiaries assessment, basic accounting knowledge for books close and Saracen reporting structure.
Should be a subject matter expert on preparation of Entity Financial Control Activities - Ledger Close, SARACEN Primary and Supplementary Financials, Analytical Reviews, Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Substantiation
Should have in-depth knowledge around preparation and review of the schedules and financial results for Insurance entity
Should be able to comprehend and implement the controls and procedures in regard to Financial Control processes
Having good understanding on related control environment (SOX as well as Non SOX) and making sure accounting and reporting process works as per design
Responsible for managing audits and handling queries from senior stakeholders including Regional and Group Reporting teams.
Should be able to navigate and create relationships with various departments to manage the dependencies and relevant updation. Should have logical thinking embedded in daily approach to work
Should be capable of picking new projects/assignments / process: Identify, Drive, Build & operate it as BAU
Should be good in Excel and other automation tools like Python / Xceptor etc
To be successful you will:
Qualified CA / CWA with at least 10+ years of post-qualification experience in accounting
Qualified MBA finance with at least 10+ years of post-qualification experience from reputed institutes
Past experience of working in insurance companies, consultancy or organization of repute will be an advantage.
Ability to develop effective working relationships with business partners/customers
Ability to bring analytical rigour, structure and solution to problematic areas.
Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.
Is expected to have strong technical understanding of accounting principles and demonstrated competence in their application.
Ability in Business Reporting and Analysis
Possess good analytical and lateral thinking skills.
