We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President - HR Consultant

Work Location- Bangalore/Hyderabad/Gurgaon

Role Overview:

As an HR Consultant you will be accountable for facilitating the shape, delivery and execution of HR projects and initiatives that support the global Wealth and Personal Banking business strategy inclusive of Asset Management (AMG), Insurance and Global Private Banking (GPB), Central Functions such as COO & Digital Transformation, Retail Bank & Strategy (RB&S), and the Regional Businesses. You will work closely with HR Business Partners, Business leaders, HR Advisors and specialists to help design pragmatic solutions to solve business problems, framing complex challenges by leveraging internal and external expertise to deliver solutions that have measurable impact for the Wealth and Personal Banking business. You will support the achievement of the following People Outcomes linked to business outcomes: * Business Change: build a simpler and nimbler organisation that enables agile ways of working and improve customer experience; deliver our restructuring plans by enabling redeployment, managing the change well and ensuring our people are treated fairly.

In order to accomplish these outcomes, is expected that the WPB HR Consultant will:
  • Manage programme delivery proactively balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget and risks
  • Be able to provide oversight to how HR initiatives align to the HR/ WPB Business Strategy and relevant global/country business People Plans
  • Be responsible for effective programme controls and procedures within their given initiatives
  • Effectively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Report progress, issues, dependencies and risks to the relevant governance forum and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery
  • Whilst some business alignment is expected, some project allocation will be across any business line within WPB (including AMG, Insurance or GPB) therefore a willingness to adapt and learn at pace is required
The job holder will manage and lead a team of 3 GCB5 HR Consultants who will act as a fungible pool to support the execution of the Wealth and Personal Banking People Strategy. It is expected that this role work closely with the Lead HR Consultant to assign these GCB5 HR Consultants to People Initiatives depending on where the demand and needs are.

Requirements
  • Relevant degree in HR from a Tier-1 college/institution
  • HR change / HR transformation/HR Consulting experience of 8+ years
  • Certifications in Project Management, Agile Methodology / Scrum Certification is preferred
  • Experience of working in an HR environment consisting of business partnering/relationship management with business leaders supported by shared services and areas of expertise
  • Excellent understanding of latest HR trends, strategy and operations value levers, how the role of HR is changing
  • Strong interpersonal skills, confident and ability to work at all levels within a global business environment
  • Should have managed teams or worked as a people manager
  • Strict adherence to the requirements of confidentiality. Discretion and integrity essential
  • Calm under pressure; ability to re-prioritise in very short timescales
  • Flexibility, tenacity and resilience to deal with business demands during periods of high workload.
