Job Description

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) role at PhillipCapital India Pvt Ltd is a leadership position within their stock broking division, focusing on business development, client acquisition, and team buildup & management. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of equity markets, broking operations, client acquisition, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities1. Sales Strategy and Revenue Generation

Target Achievement:

Own and achieve aggressive sales, revenue, and client acquisition targets for a specific segment (e.g., HNI, Ultra HNI, Corporate, Institutional, or specific product line).

Strategy Formulation:

Develop and execute high-impact sales strategies and business development plans to expand the client base and market share.

Product Promotion:

Drive the sales of a diverse range of financial products, which may include Equities, Derivatives, Commodities, Wealth Management products (Mutual Funds, Bonds, etc.), and advisory services.
2. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management

Key Client Focus:

Identify, acquire, and manage relationships with

High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNI)

,

Ultra HNI (UHNI)

, and/or Institutional Clients.

Advisory:

Provide advanced financial/investment advice and suitable product recommendations tailored to client goals and risk profiles.

Cross-Selling:

Proactively identify and execute cross-selling opportunities across various Phillipcapital product offerings.
3. Team Leadership and Management

Mentorship:

Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Relationship Managers, Sales Executives, or dealers to ensure they meet their individual and collective sales targets.

Performance Management:

Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback, and conduct training sessions on product knowledge, selling skills, and market dynamics.

Process Improvement:

Drive performance through data-backed decision-making and ensure adherence to best-in-class sales and client servicing processes.
4. Compliance and Market Intelligence

Regulatory Adherence:

Ensure all sales activities comply strictly with SEBI regulations, internal policies, and KYC/AML guidelines.

Market Analysis:

Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to fine-tune sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
? Essential Qualifications & Skills

Experience:

Typically

5 to 10+ years

of progressive experience in Sales, Business Development, or Relationship Management within the

Financial Services, Stock Broking, or Wealth Management industry

.

Educational Background:

A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Post-Graduate degree (e.g.,

MBA in Finance or Marketing

) or relevant professional certifications (e.g., NISM certifications, CFP, CFA) is strongly preferred.

Track Record:

A proven, consistent track record of meeting or exceeding challenging sales targets and managing high-value client relationships.

Product Knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of financial markets, investment products (Equity, Derivatives, Mutual Funds), and the broking ecosystem.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. High degree of market orientation and business acumen.
